Lambing Afternoons - in our third year - by popular demand!
After the great success we've had in previous years, we're opening our farm every afternoon from 2.00pm until 5.00pm from Monday 5th March for you to come and see us at lambing time. You'll be able to see the ewes, hold the lambs and help with the chores and if you're really lucky you might see a lamb born! Children and groups are especially welcome - last year we had a children's birthday party visit which was a great success.
All the activities are inside, so this is a trip you can make whatever the weather. We have all the appropriate risk assessments and first aid and hand washing facilities so you can relax and enjoy a great afternoon out.
You can of course just turn up but it would be helpful to have an idea of numbers so please call us on 01568 750543 if you can to let us know you're coming and we can then also make sure there are lambs for you to see!
Remember - bring your wellies or footware that can be disinfected and a warm coat and gloves would be a good idea as it can be cold sitting watching lambs arrive! Also - if you are pregnant, then please let someone else bring the kids.
Directions are as follows;
Our post code is HR6 0RE to give you an idea of where we are but please don't try to use your sat nav - it will take you down gated roads and you'll end up in a field!
From Leominster - take the A44 towards Bromyard and take the third left turn sign posted Pudleston (by a white bungalow) and follow this road until you get to Pudleston Church. Follow the Whyle House Lamb signs from there.
From Worcester and Bromyard, take the A44 toward Leominster and take the right hand turning sign posted Pudleston by the white bungalow after passing through Docklow and Steens Bridge. Follow this road to Pudleston church and follow the Whyle House Lamb signs from there.
From Ludlow and Tenbury, make your way to Leysters (on the A4112) and turn left at the Bus shelter if you're coming from Tenbury or right if you're coming from the west. Then turn right into an avenue of trees and follow this narrow lane for about 2 miles and then follow the Whyle House lamb signs.
